2010 Walk Across Southeastern Connecticut will be held October 2
This year, TBBCF Walk Across Southeastern Connecticut continues the option for a quarter marathon and half marathon in addition to the signature 26.2-mile marathon. Starting at Saybrook Point and ending at Camp Harkness in Waterford, the walk will be held Saturday, October 2, 2010. The Terri Brodeur Breast Cancer Foundation strives to improve the Walk Across Southeastern CT by listening to participants and evaluating the success of the event. Our goal is to provide variety to continue to increase participation in the walk and ultimately raise more funds for research. 2010 Walk Across Southeastern CT Options
Every penny raised by Walk Across Southeastern CT participants is directed to TBBCF and breast cancer research. Plus, as a participant you are provided with resources to help you succeed including training schedules, organized volunteer-led group walks, walker orientations, and fundraising support. Not only will you get fit or stay fit but you will unify for a common cause and purpose. Walking can make a difference in your life and others. Challenge yourself! Challenge your friends and family. Pit Stop Team Captain & Co-Captain Volunteer Positions Needed!!!The Pit Stop Captain, with the assistance of the Co-Captain, will coordinate the set up and operation of pit stops at designated intervals along the route, providing hydration and snacks. This will involve set-up and removal of tents, tables, chairs and food at the first four pit stops and, as the last walkers pass, removing all food/equipment and ensuring all trash/recycled containers are removed. The team then moves to the next pit stops for set-up. The Team Captain and Co-Captain will:
TBBCF Walk Team is looking for one to three people to take on an extra role for our October 2 Walk, working with the Team Captain in coordinating the placement of and communication with other team members the day of the walk. This may involve:
